My name is Bryan Roach, and I am proud to call Canton, Georgia, my home. Born and raised in this wonderful city, I have always had a deep-rooted passion for making Canton the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
As a graduate of Cherokee High School and raised in the Breeze Hill neighborhood, my roots run deep in Canton. I left Canton only long enough to attend the University of Georgia. While there, I not only received a top-notch education but also had the incredible opportunity to play football for the Georgia Bulldogs. This experience taught me the value of teamwork, perseverance, and dedication—qualities that continue to shape my approach to life and public service.
After graduating from the University of Georgia with a bachelors degree in political science, my heart remained firmly rooted in Canton. I made the conscious decision to return to my hometown, recognizing the potential for positive change and growth that lay within its borders. I am a local small business owner, a licensed real estate agent with ERA Sunrise Realty and a member of the Cherokee Association of Realtors. Through my business endeavors, I have been fortunate enough to work with many fellow Canton residents and contribute to the economic development of our community.
My wife, Janet, and I have chosen to make Canton's Birchwood neighborhood our home. Like me, Janet is a lifelong resident of Cherokee County, and she has been a school teacher in Cherokee County for over 25 years. Together, we are raising our son Michael, who is currently a senior at Creekview High School. As parents, we deeply care about the future of our youth and are committed to creating a brighter tomorrow for all children in Canton.
As a member of Canton First United Methodist Church, I have served on the board of trustees and as an usher during worship services. I am active in local organizations such as the Cherokee County Game and Fish Club and serve on the Canton Golf Club Board of Directors. As a small business owner, I am also member of the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce.
Public service has always been close to my heart, and I firmly believe that it's not enough to just love your city; you must actively work to improve it. That's why I am humbly seeking your support as a candidate for the Canton City Council. I want to bring my love for Canton, my experience as a successful business owner, and my commitment to our community's well-being to the decision-making table.
If elected, I promise to be a dedicated and transparent representative for all the residents of Canton. I will work tirelessly to address the concerns and issues that matter most to our community. From promoting small businesses and creating job opportunities to enhancing single family housing and supporting cooperation with our neighboring cities, my focus will be on making Canton an even better place for everyone.
